At Caeffair we provide a highly professional person centred approach to care services and specialise in health & social care of the older person with differing types of dementia. This can vary from those who have some memory loss and confusional states and may need prompting and encouragement to those who have more complex health care needs and will require an optimum level of both mental health and physical support and care.
We aim to provide services that are reflective of the National Guidance on Dementia Care and recent innovations in supporting those with Mental Health diagnosis to optimise the health and social care wellbeing of our residents, reminiscence therapy is used to promote and maintain levels of independence and stimulate psycho-social wellbeing.
We provide respite and permanent accommodation, for those over 65 who require nursing care (Dementia ), and those who are over 65 who require personal care and support only (Dementia, and Elderly Mental Infirmity), although two places are offered in this category for persons under 65. The home welcomes both male and female residents and respite guests, and a choice as to the gender of your care staff will be offered whenever possible.
We have 43 rooms, 20 to the ground floor and 23 to the first floor, which include 5 double rooms. With a team of experienced staff, Registered Nurses, QCF qualified care assistants and a variety of experienced support staff, we ensure the provision of an appropriate care programme, which is Service user “resident” focused and individualised, in a supportive and non - restrictive environment.
We welcome unannounced visits to the home, so that you can see for yourselves the welcoming atmosphere of our home and assess our performance as it happens each day of the week.
For those who are uncertain about coming to live with us, we also offer trial days, weekends or weeks and can also provide day respite services so that you get to know us before moving into the home.
To promote dignity and ensure that individualised care is delivered to the highest standard our Dignity Champion for the home is Delyth Pritchard, Delyth is also our Social Care Practice Leader and ensures that care staff provide excellent levels of personal care and support.
We aim to provide a home from home experience and provide home cooked nutritious meals based on a traditional menu, with a choice menu to supplement to your liking. We welcome open visiting and accommodate events such as Birthdays and anniversaries when we are more than happy to host a party for you and your friends and family. Although well behaved pets as visitors are more than welcome we are unable to provide accommodation for them, out of consideration for fellow residents.
